Google is launching new Google Chrome OS
Google is now entering a new market that has been dominated by Microsoft for the past 15 years. The new project was announced on their website at http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/introducing-google-chrome-os.html and the new browser is focused on internet usage. The team developing Chrome promises a fast and lightweight interface and a speedy startup time to get your machine up and on the web. With the mixture of Google Apps and a fast browser they may be on to something for netbook users, students and the typical office user who only needs access to word processing type apps and a web browser.
